James P. McMillan III, AAI's Profile and Contact Information

Jim McMillan began his insurance career in 1995 after spending 22 years in manufacturing. Jim grew up in Red Springs, NC and graduated from Red Springs High School. Jim graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC in 1971 and after teaching school in Florence, SC joined Miliken & Company beginning his career in textile management. In 1995 Jim and his family relocated to Laurinburg, NC and established Terrific Kids Day Care and he began his insurance career. Jim joined the Wade S Dunbar Agency, Inc in 1996 as a commercial producer and remained with the Agency until 2001. In September of 2001 Jim joined NC Mutual Insurance Company in the Hoke County Agency. Jim and his family purchased a small farm in Hoke County and built their home on the farm in 2008. After 11 years with Farm Bureau Jim returned to the Wade S Dunbar Agency, Inc in 2012 as a commercial producer specializing in manufacturing risks and farm/agribusiness insurance. Jim grew up on a farm and has remained connected to farming throughout his life and has a hay farm and livestock as a hobby. Jim is an avid hunter and spends a lot fo time outdoors with his dogs and family. His greatest joy is spending time with his 7 Granddaughters and 1 Grandson and helping them learn the skills they will need to succeed in life.
